The End
And it's over...
The End
And it's over...
first flight done, just a quick 10 hour wait and 2 hour flight and we're done. Easy.
finally off the train. In need of a shower
Getting on the Trans Siberian Express... After a 5 hour delay
we have finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
being towed through the last border crossing...
Made it to Ulaanbaatar... Sort of
50 hours in a tow truck with an incredibly incompetent driver and we're here
slight delay, the steering on the truck also snapped...
Long day. Snapped the steering wheel, filled the carburetor with sand now on a flat bed on the way to Ulaanbaatar
Mongolia is tough...
At the beginning of this summer, after knowing MK for about 4 days - we thought it would be a wise decision while slightly intoxicated to venture off to Mongolia (only 10,000 miles - can't be too bad).
After revealing this plan to friends and family we registered for the 2016 Mongol Rally, despite of all their doubts.
The next step? Finding the car. We both settled on the idea of going for a classic 2CV. Some thought we were brave, others thought we were just a bunch of pillocks, (and still do). After a few weeks of looking, we found the perfect car - introducing Claude, our 30 year old, blue 2CV Acadiane.
Now all we need to do is finalise the route, organise Visas, fix up the car...and most importantly try and raise some money for the charity, Cool Earth. So help a pal out and please donate through our Just Giving page, (link is in our about section). Even if it's just 50p or a £1 it would still help immensely.
