Abancay, Peru
Day 11-penultimate day? We hoped so! Until we hit another road block that left us grounded for 4 and a half hours! Another little night drive though brought tarantula's and other little beasties! Cusco tomorrow? The finish line might be in sight?

Day 9- all going so well on pisted roads until the final few hours of the day. A road that only opens for two hours a day c ** some text is missing ** h us!
Ayacucho, Peru
Day 9 - long...way...round. We have officially covered the ungringo route, passing approx 7 vehicles today. Beautiful views and great weather sped our morale through the many dirt tracks. A little under estimation meant that we had to negotiate some miniscule mountain roads in the dark. Damn google maps!
Huancavelica, Peru
Day 8- very early start took us to huancayo, where we got yet another clutch pedal accompanied by a guinea pig lunch! What can only be described as the coldest ascent to huancavelica peaking at the snow line. A rest is well needed tomorrow, so its a good job they have hot springs here @
Tarma, Peru
Day 7- the ascent from 1900m to 4000m was absolutely, incredible...and team alpaca should have packed more jumpers instead of the toothbrush! However, an impromptu peruvian fiesta in a locals back yard was worth the distress! Another 4000m pass to tackle tomorrow...god speed our mighty steed@
Huánuco Region, Peru
Day 6- our journey took us out of the jungle today and we have begun our steady ascent through the andes. The moto's were treated to some tarmac roads and a little mechanic TLC! Although a pitch black mountain tunnel challenged the teams nerves! @ adventurists- a stay in grand hotel huanuco is well worth a visit!
Tocache, Peru
day 5: MISSING IN ACTION- 2 team members sanity, 1 small, red alpaca, suspected narcotics addiction. After 12 hours we are nearly out of the jungle
Ica Region, Peru
bloody, sweat and tears to get here! But the mototaxi's are grand! Onwards into the jungle...hazarre!
Moyobamba, Peru
Day 3 incl. set backs at road blocks, 1 mild attack from a swarm of bees, accompanied by 2 angry dogs, topped off with lashings of amazonian rain = 2 soggy team mates.
