<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt"><font face="Calibri" size="3">Wow... well what on earth have I signed up for this time?!<span> </span>1000km across outer Mongolia on a selection of small horses... the common feature of whose will be a slightly sketchy education in the art of carrying a rider.</font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt"><font face="Calibri" size="3">Back in January this seemed like such a good idea... since then my feet have been getting colder and colder as the length of time I have to prepare has been getting shorter and the list of things to do... no less long.<span> </span>So here I am, four weeks out, only just setting up the webpage and comparing it with fear to other Derbyists who seem to have started preparing weeks ago and fit in more riding per day than I can manage in a month...<span> </span>Mostly now I’m wondering exactly how many paracetamol I can squeeze into a 5kg luggage limit and whether I can avoid blow-torched marmot for dinner!</font></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt"><font face="Calibri" size="3">Please check back soon as I’m going to try to keep this updated with tales of increasing terror and, mobile connections allowing, some form of blog from the wilds too.<span> </span>This will truly be a ride of a lifetime for me (possibly the last ride of my lifetime if my blisters prove terminally incapacitating) and I hope to raise lots of money for charity to boot...
