Tajikistan took its toll on car & morale. Doors falling off, floor split open, no suspension, lights smashed, rear ended at 40mph, bent subframe, broken exhaust, car slowly snapping in half but worst of all cd stuck in cd player! Phonebox in great shape so in true british style we soldier on.@

Refused entry into turkmenistan due to lack of visa. Strong shirt/trousers combo allowed me to chat my way in to check out some gold statues.

Took wrong turn in a suburban area. Had to fight off ferrell street kids. Left that town fast. Middle Iran border closed. Heading to main northern border. Fun morning so far.

progress is getting ever slower thanks to pet rescue stopping every 10 mins to move animals from the road. To combat this 'operation road kill' has now commenced.
