The sweet finish line in Sweet Ride!!
We crossed the finish line yesterday!! Amazing adventure across India!! We have now travelled a 10th of the earth's circumference -- wow!!
Almost to the finish!
One last stop along the coast, then we roll to the finish line in Kochi!
Made it to Kerala!!
We made it 300km today and still had time to enjoy the pool and beach at our awesome resort!! Question now is...do we finish the 350km to Kochi tomorrow or do half with an extra beach day? Decisions to make over dinner!
Day ??
...we're somewhere near a beach south of Goa tonight. Tomorrow, we push further south
We made it to Goa...barely!!
Sweet Ride finished the last 23km to our hotel in Goa on the bed of a truck!! But we made it!! She's getting fixed now while we trade war stories with the many other teams that converged on Goa. She should be ready for us to hit the road again tomorrow.
Day 7: Beach!!
After mountain driving today, we arrived to a beach town today...but it's already dark :( I could see waves in the moonlight! Maybe I'll go stick my toes in the Indian Ocean before we leave in the morning. Luckily, more beach in our future!!
Day 5: long drive to and thru Mumbai
Long drive from Surat to Mumbai today. Sweet Ride made it with little to no issues. Google maps took us for an extra special ride thru all of Mumbai. We saw a variety of different areas. I think we'll stay here for an extra day to enjoy the city since we got in late tonight. No telling what tomorrow will bring! Much less the rest of the Run!
Day 4...still in Gujarat
So...we didn't make it very far today. Between a late start with some extra Zzz's this morning and a couple break downs, we only made it to Surat as it got dark. We have a new fan to cool our engine now so fingers crossed we can make it further tomorrow!! Target: Mumbai!
Day 3: big city start and ended in night driving
We made it thru Ahmadabad this morning and were cruising right along when the troubles started. First a new spark plug. Then a new piston. Then adjusting the gap on the spark plug. We landed at the hotel we thought we were going to stay at but found out it was booked full. After looking at other nearby hotels, we took a ~30 minute detour (in the dark!) to a nice hotel. Team voted to sleep in a little in the morning after a late arrival tonight

We made it thru Ahmadabad unscathed...through the belly of the beast...with me at the controls!!
