part 2 so on tinkering around I seemed to manage to get Vera into 2nd gear oh my word if only so when the truck we were on pulled up for lunch today we thought this was our chance just at that moment a fellow rallier pulled up we flagged them down pulled out the jump leads and prayed for the best but alas no she would not start so I checked for a spark but no I changed all the fuses but no so on a low again we said farwell and thouht that wwa that just then I checked my phone and a signal quick call peter our friendly citreon specialist I thought II expainedge going on and we tried a few things but no then one last thing wire the coil direct to the battery but now we were on the road again damn then our truck got a puncture and we had to stop so we paid a guy to pull up beside us and connect her up whrr whrr whrr it felt like ages then bang she spluttered bang bang wohoppo she coughed into li

oh my word last night was our lowest point yet we really thought it was it we kinda got a little lost and although were still going the right way only thing was it was dark and we had to attempt a river crossing and of coarse Vera stalled right in the middle me and Jim pushing knee deep in water and 4 guys and a rope pulling got us through of coarse with our flat battery she would not start another vehicle made it through and with jump leads in hand we comandered their vehicle cough cough splutter splutter yes few misfires and were off another car offered to show us the way so we went all of 500m and then catastrophie our gears stopped working only reverse so back we went to the river 5 guys all prodded and pokked and we all thouht it was over one guy had a big truck and so with much ado we managed to get her on the back my god what a disheartening journey then this morning on tinkering aroun

well have to say its been quite the task to get here we needed towing over the first mountain pass as it was just too steep for Vera she has then since just about been rattled apart we had to fix 3 punctures yesterday, so glad we bought the tire leavers and took two massive hits on pot holes as well as nearly rolling twice and I swear we took air a couple of times too quite how she is holding together I am not really sure gosh the going is tough and slow but I think we might just make it just stopped to get exhaust mended been living on fumes in the car for the last 2 days and just had the spare wheel beaten back into shape all for now jools n Jim

well were still at the Mongolian border by the time we got from our idealic night sleeping under the stars to the border there was a que of about 30 cars and bikes which were not going any where fast we have moved forward but they have now closed the border for a 2 hour lunch break great.... time is ticking on and we need to get there by next weekend oh well hey ho

so what a night we were going to stop by a river last night cook a meal and relax we decided to keep going though and try to get to the border however we arrived at some Small village in the altal mountain range really late last night which we thouht was the border town only to find it was not it was late we were tired and hungry so we saw a small store and thught we would grab some provisions for mongolia we walked out with nothing but heard some singing intrigued we drove to the source which seemed to be a wedding wondering what to do we decided to hop back to the shop grab a beer and take it from there and it was there that we met the grooms brother who was just grabbing a beer himself so next thing we know were sitting at a table drinking shots of vodka singing on the mic and dancing with eveyone at the wedding what a night all for now the wedding crashes
