Fun times, our clutch cable snaped about 160 km from the city. Que a long ass, extremely tiring drive without a clutch, on the upside I now feel in complete mechanical harmony with our little ambulance.

Stayed in a hotel last night, pretty damm good for 10 euro. By pure chance more teams seen the ambulance, by the end of the night there was 15 ralliers in the hotel. Heading for the boarder with Anthony on his bike and The Mills Brothers.
Tyumenskaya oblast, Russia
Yesterday we did a 16 hour day and managed to drag our sorry dishevelled arses as far as a two bit town called Ishim. Spent 20 minutes trying to find a motel, we ended up in another damm truck park.
Tambov Oblast, Russia
Had our first encounter with the Russian Po Po. I was lead onto an office and shown a little book of road laws in Russian, the only thing I could make out was 5000 R fine and or 3 years in the pokey. Bit harsh I thought after 30 minutes i was free with wallet intact.
Voronezh, Russia
Stayed in pretty bad hotel, A blue mirror finished ceiling and IV lights on the bedroom wall. We even got charged extra because we stayed for over 12 hours. We did order some food by making chicken noises.
Belgorod, Russia
Crossed the boarder, we are now in Russia. Took 3 hours on the Ukrainian side, then just an hour to get into Russia. Trans siberian highway here we come.

Stopped for the night, staying in a lovely hotel, turns out there is two weddings going on. This could be fun.

We have just realised a week long dream, to leave Kiev. After a week of organising repairs, waiting for parts to arrive. It even involved meeting an interpreter and driver in a new S-Class Mercedes, All organised by some one we met in the pub. Bye Bye Kiev, Hello Russia.
