No Ride

We had big plans ... but sometimes big plans become little plans. It happened to us. Our plan was to take advantage of California's new emission standards, buy an outlaw Hollywood fire truck on ebay, help it immigrate to Canada, fully outfit it with hoses, ladders, etc, drive it across Canada from Calgary to the East Coast, visit some firehalls along the way, raise some money for charity, ship it to the UK in time for the lauch at Goodwood. We did buy a nice truck on ebay but we sold on ebay and never actually saw it, drove it or met it. Turns out getting insurance in Alberta on a firetruck is not an easy thing to do. After many phone calls, the best quote was over $6k, if we are very lucky. So the big plan was abandoned and our fire truck went to a new home.
