chippys from down under haven't posted any updates yet.
Gidday, we are Glen and Rory Keleher. We are a father and son team of builders from Redland Bay Australia. Together, as the chippies from down under, we are well under way in our preparations to take on the rally. No one could ever accuse us of being skilled car officinados -we just stumble along machenically - but what we are are 2 blokes who love people, love the differences of all cultures, and are excited about helping people a long way from our home. We are well underway in our fundraising for the rally - follow our progress on http://www.everydayhero.com.au/TeamKeleher
We have both travelled extensively, and our aim is to have a blast as father and son, and see how we can share stories with all the characters we meet on the way.
for an adventure filled challenge travelling almost a third of the way around the world competing in the 2011 Mongol Rally to raise money to support The Christina Noble Childrens Foundation.
The rules of the journey call for us to drive a 1 litre engine car from London to Mongolia. We will pass through 52 countries and drive up to 16,000 kilometres on the journey. This small car is designed to challenge us to use all our wits and resources to complete this adventure.
The rally commences on 23rd of July 2011. It has an unstructured course where we will cross countries to make it through the rough terrain. There is no map to guide us and no support crew. We will have to meet, haggle with, and rely on the kindness of local villagers along the way.
