We are near the Russian border which we will cross tomorrow. The van has had a rough couple of days, the roads haven’t been very good but we made it and we’re not going to worry about the new squeaks and rattles!! Onwards!
Thanks to a good thunderstorm and lower temperatures we have made it to Almaty in Kazakhstan. We’re catching up on eating and sleeping before we start the 1000KM drive to the Russian border. We hear the roads won’t be good for the next part of the journey but the van is doing well at the moment! http://w3w.co/performs.seats.pursuing

Jason has put a new radiator in the van. We’re lucky that Uzbekistan has little vans (Damus) just like ours so we could get the parts we needed. Thanks to the Irish guys that helped us today. Off to explore Bukhara a bit more.
We’re in Bukhara and what a great place it is. Trying to get the van sorted as it took us 20 hours to drive 500km yesterday so we’ll be having a little break in this lovely city. http://w3w.co/witless.slicer.subsets
