Just struggling through ulaanbaator traffic to where a bed and the first shower in 5 days awaits!
Having a sick day off roading despite having punctured a tyre and broken a front spring already. Mongolia is beautiful.
Made it to Mongolia! Only the next 2000km to go. Camped near a beautiful lake last night and treated ourselves to cider.
managed to find a hotel for the night after a lot of help from google translate as we wanted to treat ourselves to our first shower since Kyrgyzstan and Tj needs to wash the dread out of her hair. Luke has described the shower as sensational. He isn't wrong.
Made it over the border last night and camped off a little track just over the border. Just as Tj got up in the morning three scary looking russians pulled up in their car.. Beautiful sunset and last night with the convoy last night now pushing to the Russian border today

we limped Wendy the wagon to murghab last night after they broke their back axel. It's freezing but the sky is so clear and the pam
Tj & Luke take on the Mongol Rally. We grew up together in Cambridge and are putting our friendship to the test by driving 1/3 of the globe for Cool Earth and Action on Addiction. Sticking to the stereotypes; Luke is the car man and Tj is in charge of any forms, organisation and sweet talking border guards
Addiction is a massive problem that harms not only those addicted, but their families and loved ones. Finding better ways to deal with addiction and help those affected is important to both of us. Not only does Action on Addiction run several renowned treatment centres for those dealing with addiction, they do lots of important work with families and those affected by loved ones with addictions.
The only way to halt destruction is to align the future of the rainforest with the people best placed to protect it. This means placing forest in the hands of the people who rely on its survival for their survival. Cool Earth does just that.
