Gave the beast an evening MOT while Rob and 'The Mighty Tuks' went back to confirm the ricks were welcome on the train to Mughalsarai. With everything fixed and approved we Tuk'd into beers and a meal fit for infidels. Heading off to the station at the later, more social, time of 8am the realisation that repaired brakes and horns do not an Indian mechanic make soon came to light. To add to our worries it seems a verbal confirmation is worth as little in Indian as a second hand rickshaw. Having driven onto the platform we were told our shortcut was "impossible". With all our spirits low the departure time neared and the tourist voices rose... As with anything in India if you want something done you have to do it yourself and the 6 of us proceeded to dragged our ricks to each and every platform we were told our train left from. Stress levels only trumped by relief we are all safely on the train minus a few litres of body fluid and coats of paint. Onward bound the spirits are again high but unfortunately too readily consumed.
