ready for the off?...!
well, we've made it safely and soundly to shillong, mostly with limbs and sanities intact.. with the possible exception of danny who is, by all accounts, a shadow and empty husk of what he once was.
indian driving is pretty uh.. pragmatic. everyone knows they can go faster than everyone else (even round a blind corner next to a cliff) and they like to show it really. i don't know whether having a driving license is a benefit or a curse in this sense so i'll update later with regards to my (nick's) luck driving - hopefully it won't be in the form of an obituary.
india itself is just beautiful. i can't really describe it that well because it's so different to britain (except shillong which is officially the Scotland of the East, a bold claim perhaps).. i guess i'll work on my written elocution given i don't have a camera and david and danny don't really takeas many photos as me (granted, pressing the shutter becomes a bit like chewing or breathing to me on holiday, perhaps not admirable).

anyway, david is makign motions with his head to suggest im waffling so i guess we'll catch up later after a few hard days driving. later! (hopefully)
