<p><font color="#008000" size="6">The Mission </font><iframe src="http://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fpages%2FTeam-Gone-Walkabout-Mongolian-Rally%2F167043433318872%3Fref%3Dsgm&layout=button_count&show_faces=false&width=450&action=like&font&colorscheme=light&height=21" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:450px; height:21px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe></p><p> </p><p><font color="#333333" size="3">So one day im messing around on the internet and i find this website "The Mongolian Rally", and i think to my self ....hhhmmm thats interesting, so i read more.......<br /><br />It's a rally but not just any rally, its a rally "a third of the way around the earth, from Europe to Mongolia via a plethora of countries most people haven't heard of in a car that has an engine with no bigger than 1 litre"<br /><br />So i think to myself hell yeah that sound awesome and in the space of a few weeks i have signed up. Now comes the tricky bit convincing someone else to to come with me, fortunately this was not a problem at all and out of this Team Gone Walkabout is born<br /><br />So on the 23rd of July 2011 Team Gone Walkabout consisting of Paul van Est, Ash Smolenski and Haley Smolenski will be embarking on a trek across the width of Europe and into Asia, some 16,000 Km in a small 1L hatchback.<br /><br />A grand undertaking in itself you may say, but thats not all along the way we also hope to raise money for the and the Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, who provide outstanding medical care to many young Australians as well as support for their family's.<br /><br />We are also raising money for the Christina Noble Children's Foundation who work in Children's Healthcare, Education and Community Development in Mongolia and around the world.<br /><br />So from this page we will be sharing our adventure, from the hustle and bussle of Old London town to the Desserts of Kazakhstan and the Steppes of Mongolia. We hope that you can show your support by suggesting places for us to go things to see and do or by contributing even in the smallest of ways to the charity.<br /><br />See you on the Roads and in the wields of this amazing world<br /><br /><br /><br />Paul Ash and Haley</font><font color="#333333" size="3"></font></p>
