Currently completing his PhD in the Liver Lab at the Centenary Institute, Wil is a man of extremes. If he's not looking at Ribose Nucleic Acid invisible to the naked eye, he's trekking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal or walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain. Wil's other exploits include volunteering at a hospital in Ghana and teaching in Nepal. But if he's not doing all this, he is playing the viola in various orchestras including the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra.
But most importantly, the self confessed travel junkie can't wait to get to the start line of the 2012 Mongol Rally.
I am Russian-born but have lived in Australia for over 20 years and proudly calls Australia home. I work as an IT Consultant by day but my great passion is travel. Having gotten the travel bug just after leaving high school I have since then criss-crossed the globe numerous times by plane, train, bus, car, bicycle and ox-cart, with all the continents save Antarctica under his belt and having set foot in over 40 countries. In my travels I often try to do a bit volunteering work or raise money for charities, whether its helping school-kids in Africa, riding a bike around Iceland, trekking in South America or crawling through icy mud in England. The next adventure always beckons!
