Jaisalmer, India
(saturday update). Little roads were so good that we made 160 kms in 4h! So we decided to go directly to Jaisalmer. We had to stop in Pokaran for a last reparation. It was a big one because the guy literally opened the engine! we arrived at 6.30 and we went directly to the finish line. WE DID IT!! We noticed that most of teams were already here (50 out of 73)@

2h to leave jaipur. We were not sure to reach nagaur, 260km further. We chose to drive on small roads instead of highways. During the day, we stopped many times to tighten bolts from the exhaust which seems not wanting to go to jaiselmer with us!

today was dedicated to tourism, we visited the observatory, the palace of winds and Amber fort. We had difficulties in finding a new fuel tank cap and Damien fixed the lights which were not working anymore. Low beam is still not ok but the high beam will do the job.

(wednesday update). We visited the Taj Mahal early in the morning, not much people, it was beautiful! then a small ride to Jaipur where we found a nice hotel. We noticed we had forgotten to put back the fuel tank cap after our last refill, we will have to buy another one!@
Uttar Pradesh, India
due to our mechanical issue, we were late to see sunset on Taj Mahal. We found a "quiet" hotel but the backup power provider was so noisy... We woke up at 5AM to be on time to see sunrise on Taj Mahal. After that, we took the road to Jaipur... 229 kms to do.

we were going slower than we should this morning, so after 120 kms we made a stop at etawah to find a mechanician. The brake was ** some text is missing **

(monday update) very big day with 320 kms, all of them on highway so no bad surprise. we met two other teams while we were having a tea near the road. We had to make a small stop in a "garage" because the sparkplug was not working well. The guy also cleaned the carburator. Kanpur is bigger than we thought, we spent 20 on a bridge driving around the city.

(sunday update, no network). cool day with only 230 kms, we arrived early so we visited the city. We saw a funeral ceremony on the ganga river, impressive! Lot of people and very little streets! hard to negociate a rickshaw to come back to the hotel!
Bihar, India
we woke up later (at 5h45). It was a quiet day with no major mechanical problems and the road was good, except for some small parts. We managed to drive around 230 kms, as planned and in time. As yesterday, it was difficult to make our way in the center of the city to find the hotel@

No power cut during the night, we left at 5.30. Road was really good until Purnia. 1h to do only 6km, driving trough the center, it was awful. Roads along the Ganga river were difficult with many holes. We arrived in Khangaria at 5PM (after 300 kms, a record!), we had difficulties in finding an hotel to spend the night.Nobody speaks english and it seems that we are the only tourists they have seen for a very long time.@
