http://www.rickshawrun.com - 3,500km pan-Indian adventure in a 7 horsepower glorified lawnmower. The least sensible thing to do with two weeks. Limited place...
Some of us weren't satisfied exploring our own backyards, so we hopped the fence into our neighbors backyard in search of new frontier. Life will never stop tempting us with new adventures. New lands will always beckon us. New vessels to carry us hither will always present themselves. A worthy cause will always be the wind in the sail. In this case, the land is India, the vessel is a moto-rickshaw, and the cause is an Indian clean water charity. We will log more than 2,500 dirty, sweaty, fun-loving miles across rough Indian terrain in man's modern marvel, known as the Rickshaw. In support of the Indian Charity, we will brave the Indian roads, mountains, and trails in our three wheeled hoss. Fueled by the pursuit of adventure. Searching for understanding. Hungry for stories worthy of our future grandchildren's attention. India is our new frontier.

We four native Southern Californians have experienced our own individual travels across the globe, including Europe, Asia, Australia, etc.. Now we are engaging in a new type of unity through this experience in which we rally behind the same purpose and mission for something bigger than ourselves.

Be with us as we travel and provide frequent updates along the journey, starting December 27th, 2012 in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan (Northwest India, near the border of Pakistan). Our journey will take us 2 weeks across western India and end in Cochin, Kerala (near the southwestern tip of India) on January 14th, 2013. Stay tuned for updates on the official team route getting us from start to finish, including points of interest and destinations.

For more information about the Rickshaw Run, please click through to their homepage, filled with great videos, pictures, stories and technical details about our January2013 race. http://www.theadventurists.com/the-adventures/rickshaw-run

The cause: FRANK Water Projects
The Adventurists have supported FRANK Water Projects since January 2008, and to date the Rickshaw Run has funded an amazing 52 clean water projects in India. So while we're having the adventure of our lives, we will also be helping thousands of people have a healthy future with clean water.
