Creativist & Optimist looking to make the world a better place, whilst eating pancakes.
The team are driving 14,000 kilometres through 16 countries in search of an answer to this question - is there a universal language in making things?
The Cowalition of the Willing
Speaking of effective and accountable. This is the crew the HS&J team chose to be the other beneficiary of our fundraising. Their bag is cows, and despite being very new to the scene they have already begun delivering tangible results on the ground. It goes a little something like this - The Cowalition identifies a family in Cambodia (in Kampot Province to be precise) that they assess to be both in need of help and able to benefit from the kind of help the Cowalition has to offer. They then source funds to for - you guessed it - a cow, along with the gear needed for a secure water source and the training required to turn a sustainable income from the kit provided. They then work on the ground to deliver - providing ongoing support and monitoring their effectiveness, all the while reporting back in detail to their donors. Social and environmental impact, effectively delivered. You can see why we like them.
