Barnaul, Russia

lack of updates is still poor but my phone seems to hate working away from home! In barnaul in russia now though, seems russia isn't a very nice place for the english so we are disappearing VERY fast. Then onto mongolia hopefully in the next few days! On the plus side we have managed to get a shower for the first time in about a week, no showers in mongolia though.

sorry for the lack of updates, signal and my phone have been rubbish! Got all the way to the capital of kazakhstan now hungover from a great night for bevs birthday with Chris Chris Hugh Andrew and Ewan, we have been caught speeding (all three teams) and had to pay a 50 dollar bribe each ... Not pleasant! Now back to the road and onto russia!!!

Crazy day yesterday!!!!! After seeing Hells gate we woke up In the middle of the turkmenistan desert. Left the desert and arrived at the uzbekistan border at half twelve and didn't go through until 5.30 and after having the cars emptied and searched we managed to leave the border at half nine! Now found out we can't buy petrol in this country so need to do 900 km on one tank ..... Not happening! Atleast we've had a shower washed some clothes and eaten breakfast. sorry for the missed updates ... Its hard to get signal in iran and the desert!

Amasya, Turkey

great day of driving today! Woke up with plenty of insect bites from the worst hotel ever! Travelled all day to (389 miles) and finally decided to set up camp in the mountains until a farmer on a moped stopped us. Finally found a place... With some random old men who seem to have two bulbs a table and 40,000 peaches! Here's to a fruitful evening.

Istanbul, Turkey

FINALLY set up the text message thanks to \ yakslash... Sorry for leaving everyone in the dark for so long! we came across this team after our alternator belt snapped and our van quickly boiled all our water in seconds! So at the side of a turkish motorway we worked for two hours to put a new belt on! Now having a beer (which Is impossible to find in istanbul) with \ yakslash! Bring on tomorrow... And no more mishaps!
