Non-profit organization founded in 2007 that works alongside Indigenous peoples and local communities to halt tropical deforestation and fight the climate crisis. Using a people-first approach, the charity gives funds and resources directly to rainforest communities, helping them build sustainable livelihoods so they do not have to accept destructive logging or land-clearing contracts. Protecting local rainforests preserves critical carbon sinks and prevents massive amounts of greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere.
