we have made it! We have tackled some of the worst roads imaginable including huge potholes and flooded roads. The car has struggled with the extreme heat and dust causing our radiator to blow. We managed to fix it and carried on in which the problem persisted. We worked out that the radiator cooling fan fuse had blown so we replaced it and were merrily on our way (even with our warning lights still flashing telling us we were probably going to blow!). In the words of Winston Churchill 'keep buggering on!' We are all well and are particularly looking forward to a shower tonight as one might expect our stench is almost unbearable! Aktobe, Kazakhstan

roads were pretty bad yesterday but managed to make it unscathed. It's over 40 degrees here which makes sitting in the car unbearable. We are hoping to make it to Astana tomorrow where hopefully we will find a shower and some food. Baxter is still going strong except that he is very dirty and dusty. The people in kazakhstan are very kind as they always come and ask if we need help and asking if we needed money. Overall the people here are incredibly generous and have the view that we are the guests in their country which is lovely attitude to have. Atyrau, Kazakhstan

we have finally made it and are now about half way to the finish line. We were stopped and fined by Russian police before the border for no apparent reason! Kazakhstan is like a baron wasteland but the people seem friendly and hospitable. We have had our first flat tyre which we have changed fairly easily and hopefully will try and repair the punctured one tonight. We are all well and we hope to make good progress and make it to Mongolia soon. All the best Angus, Luke and Ted

Volgograd, Russia

we have made it to Volgograd which uses to be stalingrad. There are huge statues and monuments all over the place! We have had our first casualty as mission improbable ran into the back of us pushing us into the back of a lorry. The bonnet is crushed and the boot cannot be opened! We will hopefully find a mechanic today to hammer out the bonnet. Everyone is fine! We have also had our first arrest in Russia as one member of the team member was a little to drunk (Angus). We payed 1500 rubles which is 30 pounds and were let go! Overall it has been an eventful past few days. We are all well and wish everyone well! Angus, Luke and Ted
