Great night out in Istanbull. The crew is loving turkey! Caught up with team Cruisin Kiwis and the Aotearoa Bowling Club, a lad whose mates had ditched him and the Romanians Bogdun and Yuana (definitively spelling them wrong) - the couple with the bike and side cart. Turned the restaurant into a pub and turned turkey on! Off to Gallipoli next.
Just got to Istanbul via Romania and Bulgaria. Clocking some miles with the Pavlova Rova, Mountain Oysters and Pulled up in a lemon. Loving the camping life and cars are going well touch wood.
Mint wee camp spot on the Danube with the Mountain Oysters, Pulled up in a lemon and Pavlova Rova. Off to Budapest now. Haven’t managed to line up the beach party at Romania - bugger it.
Huge launch day at Adventuristan, Prague. Shot over to Krakow, Poland with the Mountain Oysters. Doing Auschwitz this morning then heading to Budapest, Hungary.
They Kubb'd & they Tugged and they beat every country. 3 kiwi lads (a builder, a farmer and a chopper pilot) take on the rally, and whilst at it - challenge each host nation to a game of Kubb.

Who We Are The Cancer Society of NZ Hawke’s Bay Centre Inc. is an incorporated society with charitable status. We are a member of the Central Districts Division. We are a not-for-profit organisation funded by caring New Zealanders. Our federated structure includes a Cancer Society of New Zealand National Office in Wellington, six divisions and 15 centres throughout New Zealand, all involved in raising funds and providing local services. How We Operate We are a charity and many people are surprised to learn we do not receive government funding but rely on the generosity of our caring local businesses and the community for donations (tax deductible), community fundraising, sponsorship, bequests and volunteer support to run our services. Volunteers are the backbone of our Centre and organisation. Our Centre is governed by a volunteer Executive Committee of up to 10 members elected at the Annual General Meeting in July. We have around 40 supportive regular volunteers who help our supportive care team by driving cancer patients to treatment, assist with support groups and others who help with fundraising, special events, administration, and general maintenance. We have 9 employed staff in the Hawke’s Bay region. Staff is here to look after the day-to-day operations of the Centre, supportive care services, drive the Cancer Society shuttle transporting clients to radiation oncology treatment in Palmerston North, co-ordinate health promotion programmes, coordinate fundraising/special events, and support our volunteers.
As much as we'd love to claim a long and prestigious New Zealand heritage, for Kubb Brothers, it all started in 2012, at a music festival, in Europe. It was here, over a warm beer in a plastic cup, George Coltart – Kubb Brother Number One, discovered the little-known, largely-loved Swedish lawn game. He then returned to Hawkes Bay and showed the game to his younger brother Freddie – Kubb Brother Number Two. Being the keen croquet and pétanque player that he was, Freddie was right into it. So, with the help of their older brother Sam – Kubb Brother Number Three, and dad – Kubb "Brother" Number Four, the boys crafted their first set in the family workshop. Multiple prototypes and a few more beers later, they arrived at a design they decided not only played nice, but looked nice too. Using sustainable hardwood, finishing oil and a family heritage of quality design and building, the result is a level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that ensures a premium experience with every use. One that will be cherished for many years (and games) to come. Just watch your shins.
