Day 1

Raced down to Dover Ferry Port, managed to miss our first ferry so had to leave at 4:40pm, which was delayed by an hour leaving us 2 hours behind schedule!

After finally getting into France, we found out all the supermarkets had already closed, so we settled for a KFC.

We started making our way to Antwerp, Belgium, getting there for 1am. Our campsite turned out to be closed so we spent the night in our car!

Overall the day was as expected, challenging and long. But we were set for the next day!

Here's our photo of the day!

Dementia UK

Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through our Admiral Nurse service. When things get challenging or difficult, our nurses work alongside people with dementia and their families: giving them the one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions they need, and that can be hard to find elsewhere. Admiral Nurses are continually trained, developed and supported by Dementia UK. Families that have their support have someone truly expert and caring by their side – helping them to live more positively with dementia in the present, and to face the challenges of tomorrow with more confidence and less fear.
