We Finshed!!
This update is a little over 24 hours late as Jonny and I had to dash off for flights, but at approximately 19:30 on 14th August we finished The Mongol Rally. Unfortunately, as some of you know, we were unable to cross the finish line in Tony. However thanks to the heroic efforts of Shane and Rauri of The Generation Game team, we were able to cross the finish line in Ulaanbataar, allbeit in Polly the Skoda rather than Tony the Corsa. We were informed by the adventurists that Tony made it to Hovd, so hopefully they`ll be able to fix him up and he'll find a new home.

Pictures from my camera phone will be uploaded tomorrow, however I managed to lose my proper camera in kazakhstan, so much of the evidence for challenges was lost withit :( - bad times.

After Tony reaching the finish line on the back of a truck for the last 30 miles. We are reaching our airport finish line with the help of Team generation game in a red Skoda. Good times

Well we have limped over one of the finish lines cool rubbings style on the back of a truck. Tonys rear Axel break has led us 600 miles short of Ulaanbatar of which we are hitch hiking! Oh dear this spells inevitable disaster.

I think Tony is finally dead. We have had no breakes for 100 miles and now his rear Axel is split and we have gone through 2 tyres in 10 miles and are now waiting for a truck. Bad times

FINALLY made it through the border after a 10 hour crossing! I've already had to push Tony up one hill. These roads are awful!

Firstly how have I got more phone signal in Outer Mongolia than my own living room! Also we are in Mongolia... Tony is in Russia. If we don't get him through today it'll be game over timewise

Did I mention the exhaust dragging on the floor the last 50km and the fact we have to re-start the engine LITERALY every 3 minutes!

Tonys vitals: Passenger side suspesion-missing. Drive shaft-loose. Engine-sounds like a woodpecker. Indicator-short circuited. Warning lights-connect 4. Wing mirror-on a Kazakhstan road. Mosquito bites-frequent. Glove box shelf-wonky. Morale-slipping

The on board computer has restricted Tony to 45mph. My dad tells me it's in 'limp home mode'. Does it know home is now 6,000 miles away?
