230km under our belt to make up for Gav’s stupid route. Never been so cold in my life… one final push to Marrakesh.

May as well have been in the cairngorms; sleet, hail, snow, 40mph winds and a 5000’ climb at 5kph. However-9,400’ downhill is an absolute joy. 5 days of driving and we’re just as far away from the start line as we were on day 2.
After two days going in the wrong dire ction we decided we better head west. If anyone has ever wondered how many Scots, Berbers and Monkey bikes can fit into a Dacia Sandero the answer is 6 people and one bike.
Going to be a long night…
Lost phone, dodgy battery, 1 trip to the mechanics, 300 billion stalls and one rather heated argument.
Tough shift. Lost mobile phone almost immediately in a sand dune so sadly have no photographic evidence of how unbelievably sexy we look. Also wasted an hour trying to find it (admittedly a fools errand). Sophie’s battery died twice so we wasted an hour at a garage only to be brilliantly ripped off by a lovely mechanic who may, or more likely may not, have fixed it. And I think together we may have broken a world record in stalling. Camped up in a horribly plush hotel in Er Rachida, only had one ferocious argument and managed not to die so probably not too bad a start.
