Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

After 34 days, 9000 miles, and numerous breakdowns we've made it to the finish line! I'm proud of everyone from baatared but not beaten and all who convoyed with us, they're all great guys. It's still sinking in right now. The sour yak vodka stopped the emotions coming out but I'm sure they'll follow through the day. Thanks to everyone who donated to the fuel and the charities! If you want to make a charity donation go to www.nobulljustyaks.com thanks again x

Bayanhongor, Mongolia

absolutely crazy lightning storm at 2am this morning driving us all from tents into cars. Haven't seen anything like it before. Back on the road and the supertroopers arr having the same problem again. Hopefully not fatal. Just been in a yurt and had horse milk and cheese. Had polite smiles but was quite rank. We did well. If the car gets sorted we're gonna get going again. Good roads so far and supposed to get better so fingers crossed

just finished a dinner of supernoodles with a sauce of mushrooms, olives, onions, sweetcorn, chorizo and tomatoes. Cracking! Great day of driving making good time. Supertroopers back on the road after their hickup earlier and we're looking forward to making good distance tomorrow. Missing everyone back home but we've got a great convoy here keeping the laughs going. No drinkies for me tonight after Lastnights sesh. I love my car and it'll be sad to say goodbye in a few days time. Seat Ibiza's are great rally cars! Get yourself along to Western Seat Newcastle and I'm sure they'll sort u one out :P also want to give a big thanks to Pentland compont parts for the spares. They have sorted me and the other teams out massively.plug over@

still alive and just got signal again. Still in convoy but the supertroopers seem to have an issue with water on the engine. Dukes of hessen are at hand tho and looking into it. Roads in Mongolia are great fun to drive and my car has been renamed to the growler! Dead exhaust but sounds like a rally car now :) getting a bit colder the deeper we get through. The spacestar got some repairs at the rally garage in altai yesterday and can now reverse! Was good to catch up with some other ralliers.Got a flight booked back for Saturday now so home early. Plenty of time to get to ulaanbaatar. Hopefully :p@

Tashanta, Russia

morning started well with fried egg sarnies by a lake. All in a great mood apart from the crazy shouty lady in the petrol station. Apparently we will understand if she shouts louder :) on our way to the Mongolian border. We're about 20k away this time so its definately happening today. Jerry cans full and cars full of supplies ready for Mongolia! Very excited. Apparently you can wait up to 12 hours at the border so great time to catch up on writing. @

Cherga, Russia

after the day of decisions we're now just outside of cherga, Russia, in the altai mountains cooking pasta, sauce with mince! Going up in the world. Camped next to a river and even went for a dip. Very nice. Met back up with the other teams and having good crack. I've said it before but, Mongolian border tomorrow shouldn't be a problem. Saxo seems to be going well with the new brakes and the wheel is still attached. Bonus! Next update hopefully from Mongolia! @

actually in barnaul now and found place to camp. Been up and down day. Down - problem with saxo. Looks like knackard wheel bearing and buggered brakes meaning a possible 4 day wait for parts or dumping car at nearest rally checkpoint. Up - after finding camp, checked and noticed only have 1 pad on brakes so its now an easy fix, just need to find pads. Result! Chuffed to be convoying with these 3 teams. Couldn't have asked for a nicer bunch to meet and be with through this:) big feel good factor right now all round. Mongolia in the next couple of days for a new set of issues :P hope all good back home and away. Looking forward to seeing a yak! No bull, just yaks!
