Ossobuco Overdrive - Pasta la vista, baby! haven't posted any updates yet.
Four Milanese misfits. One 2005 Toyota Yaris. And one noble goal: to completely wreck it — but, like, stylishly — over 11,000 km of the world’s most improbable roads.
We’re Ossobuco Overdrive, a team of brilliant (if slightly unhinged) minds on a quest to embrace chaos, raise funds for Cool Earth, and prove that with a bit of duct tape and a lot of questionable judgment, you can go literally anywhere.
Filippo, aka The Disegnacose, is the most unjustifiably enthusiastic human you’ll ever meet — basically a golden retriever with a driver’s license. By trade, he designs luxury helicopters. But in his heart, he believes his white-male-straightness alone can fix any broken Yaris in the desert. Which is great news for all the actual mechanics who’ve apparently been doing it wrong this whole time.
Bellotti — whose first name is unknown even to us — looks like a misplaced officer from the Austro-Hungarian Empire living as a teenager Erasmus student. What does he do for a living? He manipulates reality and confuses minds: a professional gaslighter on business card. He has a résumé that could fill a library, none of which is verifiable. His superpower? Twisting facts into fiction, and fiction into trouble.
Lucrezia, our Local Despot, looks like a woman (and what a woman), but that’s just part of the plan. She's a school principal by day, a flip-flop field commander by nature, and she has the creepy ability to enforce rules even where there are none. Her mission is to keep us alive, hydrated, and away from stray animals. Thanks to her, no one will end up in the hospital — or at least not without asking permission first.
Gianluca, aka The Lawyer, is our in-house expert in “it’s not illegal if no one saw you.” Officially, he’s our legal counsel. Unofficially, he’s the guy who says “come on, what could possibly go wrong?” right before every terrible idea Bellotti has. On this rally, he’s our human shield against the Central Asian penal system.
If you follow us, it’ll be out of concern.
If you root for us, probably out of morbid curiosity.
If we actually make it, it’ll be a cosmic accident.
But hey — that’s the whole point.
