Civil was has pretty much broken out in Kyrgzstan so this definitely adds an element of danger to this journey!! Hopefully it will have died down in 3 months when we actually get going. Otherwise we'll be needing bullet proof vests and lots of luck!!

My daughter, India, and I have always wanted to visit Mongolia and we both believe in giving something back to a world that has treated us well.<span> </span>Together we are the Outback Yaks and we will drive to Mongolia to try and make a difference to the lives of those a whole lot less fortunate than we are by raising as much money as we can for charity.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">When we have mentioned to other people what we are embarking on a lot react with astonishment that we would leave our safe world and do something so dangerous and other people react by saying how exciting I’ve always wanted to do something like that.<span> </span>Both reactions have just reinforced the fact that we are doing the right thing.<span> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal">India will be 29 on the day we leave England which is July 24<sup>th</sup> 2010.<span> </span>Will she always remember her 29<sup>th</sup> birthday?<span> </span>I think so.<span> </span>Will I remember the year I turned 60?<span> </span>Oh, yes.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">We have been very busy since we decided to do the rally but don’t really seem to have got too far as yet.<span> </span>My job is fund raising and India’s is research including visas and the route we will take.</p> <p class="MsoNormal"> </p> <p class="MsoNormal"> </p> <p class="MsoNormal"> </p> <p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
