Camped @ mongol border! Did 3160km of russia in 3 days. Distance = london-turk border which took 6 days!saw biggest lake in the world 2day! Nearly there:-)

leaving irkutsk heading for the mongol border! Had to stop briefly last night due to dangerous conditions... I almost killed all 4 of us. Lunched with local mafia. Everything good. Tired.

crossing russia. Non stop till ulaanbaatar. Done 2000 km in last 36 hours! This country is immense. Saw dead man on highway. Tired but end is in sight. Last 100km almost all potholed but incredible skies. Bring on a bed and shower!

entered russia at 4am. No roubles! nearest town 350km! 1/2 tank of petrol! Loads of stations; no dollar,no visa! Last 1, running on fumes, visa.phew!

at russian border! Last 3 days been very hard. Mongolia in 3 days hopefully. Two loose screws destroyed - in our back seat. Car rattled but ok. Haven't showered for a week. Paul smells. Awesome.

about 300km into kazak our convoy partners 2 loose screws engine blew 4 2nd time! RIP! we are a team of 4 now:-)
