Landed in UB at 4am on Saturday August 5th to be greeted by an extremely friendly and energetic cab driver. I'm afraid I made for poor conversation due to the ungodly hour and pains of travel. Nonetheless he seemed genuinely interested in learning about his tired foreign passenger as we zipped through the steeets of UB burning red burning red lights and dodging pot holes at 80kms/hr. This was definitely a thrilling start to this adventure and from what we've been told one of the tamer parts of it. Today we went over the course, rules, and I weighed in with 1.5Kilos to spare. Good thing I packed light! All this preparation has got me itching to just get on and ride, words I'm sure to be eating in a couple hundred kilometers.
