This time next we maybe in a Turkmenistan prison...

Well we joke... Hopefully we will have finished our trip and be reminiscing about the crazy adventure!

Over the Christmas period, in between gorging ourselves on feasts and getting merry on mulled wine, we have been putting together a vague plan of action and getting the engine ticking over:

We have a rough idea of our route (check out our sweet map we put together) ![file](//uploaded-files.theadventurists.com/images/blog/c4252568020ad0d0f5cb681a278d6511ac091a6a.jpeg)

We have also started to reach out to companies for sponsorship. It's looking hopeful with local garage, The Little Car Clinic, and we hope to get a local brewery onboard so we can share our love of East Anglian ales in far flung countries.

Our fundraising page is now live, detailing the trip and the two charities we have chosen. These being, Cool Earth and Dementia UK. Two very different charities, however we strongly believe in the work they undertake. Please do visit our fundraising page: [](http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/sohotityurts)

If you have any advice, or a recommendation of places to visit along our way or any crazy things you'd like us to do, please get in touch via facebook.

Stay tuned to our Blog and Facebook page to be kept up to date with how planning is going, and of course eventually the rally itself! [](https://www.facebook.com/SoHotItYurts/)

Dementia UK

"Specialist one-to-one support. Expert advice. These are the two key ways we help people living with dementia at Dementia UK. We do this through our unique Admiral Nurses who work hand in hand with families, helping them cope with the fear, uncertainty and difficult everyday reality of dementia. By providing compassionate support and guidance, we help families to live more positively with dementia in the present, and face the challenges of tomorrow with more confidence and less fear. "
