Our loyal rick is about a foot shorter now but is back on the road. At least the frame is aerodynamic now. Got the crumpled out rick ironed out for Rs 500 yesterday! Will hopefully make it to Siliguri tonight. See you all in K'mando. Love, Megha & Andy.

very misty this morning. Crashed into the back of a stationary lorry which had rocks and branches around it to add to the danger. Front of rick mangled like a squashed tin can but both walked away with minor scratches. Amazingly repair only took half a day so back on the road tomorrow. 200km from the border.

Left Cuttack this morning. Couldn't find a hotel till 11.30 pm! Apparently hotels there don't allow unmarried people to stay (not even in separate single rooms) cos of police raids targetting prostitution. Had to spend the night in the house of a kind tailor who made flaps for our rick. Slept on the floor in a room the size of a single bed. Were scared as hell!

broke down after 10km due to oil being put into tank before petrol. Have been advised to always put petrol in first and set petrol switch to off when filling up.

just leaving Vishakapatnam after spending the morning on the beach. We were the only 2 in the sea. The locals just looked on in amusement.

a mislaid petrol cap caused more problems than expected. Mislaid cushion caused roid rage. Now in Tuni.
