Team Long time, no sea

I work for a small charity in the North East of England. I was plied with gin and tonics and offered the 'experience of a lifetime'. In a gin haze, I unknowingly agreed to the 'fantastic' idea.
Several months down the line, my pinky promise came back to haunt me and I was swiftly signed up to the Mongol Rally by my teammate.
The closer it gets, the more ridiculous it seems. But it's all in the name of Charity with a side serving of stupidity and slight lunacy.
