Making our way towards the finish. Got stuck in the mud last night and got pulled out by two camels this morning. Also rescued a van carrying 20 people who were also caught in the mud. Looking forward to a shower in UB...@

Back on the road, albeit with a slightly different mode of transport. Determined to make it to Ulaanbaatar. Saw another couple teams on the road yesterday, everyone in good spirits. So far, we would say Mongolian roads are much better than some in Kaz

Made it into Mongolia with relative ease. Met up with a few other teams at the border, and a couple of folks hoping to buy horses and ride to Ulaanbaatar. The 'ol Fiat then decided to have a slight mechanical issue...looks like we have some serious issues with the clutch. Luckily enough it happened on the right side of the Mongolian border :). May be back on the road tomorrow...stay tuned

Made it to Barnaul. Russian border was a breeze. Some good food and some sleep, and then heading to Mongolia!! If anyone else is in town and is up for a convoy let us know (+971.56.693.2312)

Record day for Kazakh roads - 800km! Made it to Pavlodar, taking a breather before heading for the border tomorrow morning (about 100km away). Barnaul tomorrow?

Passed through Kostanay today, on our way to Astana. Making some good progress. Had a cool 5-team convoy going for a while. Potentially hit the russian border tomorrow or early Monday. More updates to follow...
