First major update!

So, it hasn't been easy to find the time to write up anything to let people know how we're going; but today is different.

We are now in Barnaul, Russia staying in a hotel for the weekend, preparing for the big Mongolian border crossing!

The border is shut at weekends and evenings so we will recharge our batteries here before heading there on Sunday to get in line.

Here is a quick summary of the past (ahem) three weeks:

-Chescky Krumlov river dinghy madness in Chezch Republic

-Hospitable Ukrainian family sleep over

-Welcoming Kazakhstan watermelon breakfast

-Stuck, alone, in the sand on the infamous Kazakh road of Death

-Beach volleyball on lake Isyk-Kul: Krygyzstan

-Meeting stranded South African in no-mans-land between Russia and Kazakhstan

-hours and hours of driving, all night driving, all day driving, all the time driving

Plus everything in between....but if we told you all that, you'd have nothing to hear about when we got back now would you!?

So, after a chilled out weekend, we will hit the Mongolian border where we will have a very long wait with some other teams and some flowing vodka!

Mongolia is a mud soup at the moment.......oh yes, the tough times are just ahead......

Countdown to Czechout!

Hello to all!

After a great send off at Goodowood and some prettz solid driving we have found ourselves in Chesky Krumlov {excuse the spelling} in Czech Republic.

We have driven through France through the rain at night, then we stopped in Switzerland to visit some of Tom's familz who gave us some great hospitality and a bite to eat. Then we drove through Germany to Pasau where we camped for the night. This morning we were stopped by some very curious coppers in a sea of hoverflies. No charge was made and so we entered CZ!

We are now preparing to head down some river rapids in a dinghy in Chesky Krumlov! 

Tonight is the big checkpoint party where we will hopefully meet some teams to head to Kazakhstan with tomorrow.....
