[Lack of] Preparations

I can't say I'm a good preparer. For every bike trip I've done, my training maxes out at about 4 rides of varying length with admittedly low intensity the week or 2 before I leave. Before traveling I don't read books, look into where I'm going, or even admit that the flight is rapidly approaching and it'd probably be a good thing to check out the weather.

This trip is no different. With limited space in a rickshaw, I really only do need to bring my toothbrush (and, apparently, some duct tape). I might think about some sunglasses and shoes-that-are-not-sandals, but apart from that, I'm golden. Visa is being worked on, travel insurance and flights are booked, and the rest will just work itself out in typical India style (ie bribes). I'll learn how to ride a motorcycle at some point or another so I don't kill Chris and Liz, but otherwise I feel pretty good about how bad this is gonna go. Looking forward to blogging about what's going on in my head rather than what's going on around me. Hope you all enjoy,

So...you like yoga? Is that why you're going to India?
No, I don't really like yoga.
But...but...if you don't like yoga...then why? Whaaaaa whyyy India?

I couldn't tell ya. But I loved hating it, or hated loving it, in 2009 and swore to myself that I'd go again. And what better way to experience the intensities of India than by pushing a tuktuk the length of the country?

Chris

Well, I'm the only guy on the team...does that make me lucky, unfortunate, or just the only one who can drive?

Doin' it!

We like bikes, but we'll try motors too.
