I guess this is it....
... The official end of the driving. Matt dropped me off at a hostel and I fly to Paris tomorrow.

Cant quite make the finish...
Pressing hard for the border, but fatigue has just won out. I've sent my convoy on ahead and pulled off to the side of the road for my first night truly alone. It's glorious!!
1/3 of the way through Mongolia
The Cardis is definitely limping... Her engine has moved forward so far that it popped out the grill. But she's still going! 1000 miles to go...
Last night before Mongolia
Now that we're back on the normal rally route, we've met up with other teams. Nice to be in a convoy!
Taking time
Since we're making good time, we have time to stop at a roadside market. Yummy!
Muffler issue finally repaired?
Barnaul, Russia. Yet another auto repair shop refuses to charge us for services rendered. That's happened several times on this trip. I wish it happened back home.
Smooth roads....yeah!
Taking a little detour through a cute town. No time to stop, but it was worth the detour just to see.
Having adventures...
After being detained at the border for much too long by, what appeared to be, a Russian intelligence officer, we slept in the car, in a field.
Then the muffler fell off.... 40km's from a town.
It's been a fun day. ;)
Slow going....
We've been creeping along all day, just hit Pavlodar. We're hoping the roads to the east are better - making a run for the border today!
Only halfway ...
We were supposed to make it to Pavlodar last night, but the road conditions are so bad that we only made it halfway. Shooting for the Russian border today....
