Getting Ready . . .
We are a little over three months out. Lots has been thought about but little done so far. It seems hard to make it real until we are actually on the ground in India. And even though The Adventurists insist there is nothing we can do to prepare for our journey I find myself spending a lot of time thinking about routes, medical kits, and communications between our two rickshaws. I also wonder why we are all doing this trip. We each have our reasons. In some ways I want to trivialise it and just make it some kind of frivolous, albeit extreme, trip. But part of me knows it will be a much deeper experience. And one I already feel unbelievably fortunate to be able to take.
