Nearly 400km done today to get us from Bagua Grande to Piura - a record for us - and not a mumour at all from our hog! Arrived at Piura late. Finding somewhere to stay proved to be quite the under-taking! The police recognised our plight and have let us park our mototaxi outside the police station and lock our belongings in the Comisaire's office. Tomorrow, the finish line... Assuming we can find a way across the Pan-American highway!

The driving has been good today (minus an early puncture). New engine is performing well, fantastic scenery. We reckon we've left the Amazon now, but it's still bloody hot. Rob's a bit dehydrated. Andy's eating chicken again.

Stopped at a trucker stop for lunch. Decor is... Interesting. Stayed in Roijas last night in quaint guest house tucked into the jungle. Two punchers on front wheel last night and this morning. Culprit found. Moving on!
