Team The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Jaisalmer, India

Well after 3002 kms of blood sweat and chapatti, The Gents finally arrived in the beautiful city of Jaisalmer on Saturday evening. However due to a donut induced breakdown our fine steed had to be towed by a group of fine Australian chaps. While Professor Margetts stayed with the tuk, Baron von Fritzle and Dr Jones took to the back of two Royal Enfield motorbike. A game of cricket and the victory parade today before much revelry at the party tonight!@

Uttar Pradesh, India

Having seen the Taj Mahal, the Gents are still in Agra. We tried to leave but our plans were foiled by flooding, unbuilt roads, child gangs and the Queen's Baton Relay. Oh well we've found a good host and will try and get on the road first thing tomorrow morning to Jaipur.@

Uttar Pradesh, India

The Gents have shipped into Varanasi, quite literally. Monsoon rains in Gorakhpur meant flood water up to an Indian's waist in parts. Through push starts and the sea worthiness of our vessel we got her to higher ground. After another couple of hours of night driving we are now in Varanasi ready to explore the world's holiest Hindu city.

Uttar Pradesh, India

After a rather uneventful border crossing we decided to push through to Gorakhpur despite night falling. Good decision...? Probably not as use of lights and adherence to road rules is heartily discouraged. We made it though and bumped into a couple of other teams at Hotel Bobina. Off to Varanassi this morning...

, Sauraha, Nepal

We took the day off driving today and instead were in a canoe at 6.45am looking for crocodiles. We saw a few and then stepped ashore and tracked down a pod of 5 rhinos. Back to the lodge for lunch then into town to fix the rickshaw. All fixed and serviced for £2 including tea! We then went riding elephants for the afternoon in the pouring rain and are now sleeping in a treehouse in the jungle waiting to see the animals feed in the morning.

, Sauraha, Nepal

While we did in fact start up the road to Kathmandu, that was a mistake and we turned around and headed towards Chitwan. We thought this would have been easy but with a broken muffler and starter, combined with google maps' ability to send you literally down the garden path, it was with much luck and local direction that we appeared out of the night into Sauraha!

Scott Margetts

Im a lean mean breakdancing machine. When Im not breakdancing or binge drinking I like to spend my time cruising the tube making awkward eye contact with strangers (purely for sport).
