Team The Meeple of Mongolia

In aid of Cool Earth Action, Macmillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research UK, the 2018 Mongol Rally will see The Meeple of Mongolia journey over 22,500 kilometers, halfway across the globe, to Mongolia and back. The team, consisting of Ben Searle, Tom Simpson, Kieran Dhesi and Tom Shiner, hope to reach the finish line of Ulan Ude while raising over £1000 for charity, with the launch date set for the 16th July.

The vehicle of choice, a 14 year old Skoda Fabia 1.2, shall take the team from the launch in Prague, through central Europe and into Turkey. Onward through Georgia and Azerbaijan, across the Caspian Sea into the Karakum Desert of Turkmenistan, then Uzbekistan into Kazakhstan and Russia, finally reaching Mongolia.

The team are currently in the process of fundraising as much money as possible for the very deserving charities; all donations will be greatly received and will make a huge difference to the lives of others.

Furthermore, the team are looking for sponsorship from willing local and national companies alike for equipment and/or donations to The Meeple of Mongolia Virgin Money Giving page. We understand that our car will be our greatest marketing tool as it will be shared all over Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Additionally, we are hopeful to gain further media coverage within the local and regional area. We would like to proudly promote each of our team sponsor logos on the car for all to see, whether it be online or during the adventure to Mongolia.
