Arrived at last! A legendary adventure of 3500km ending at a fantastic beach. The party was celebrated with donuts in front of the finish line and fireworks shooting from the roof of the mototaxi. An epic journey finished with an epic party!

Our rear tire got a flat 200 km from Colan, and developed a bulge. So with a combination of a natural pull to the right, the bulge on the right rear tire making Fr ya feel like a giant vibrator and a vicious cross wind to add. I was struggling to keep her on a straight line. My arms were aching racing to the finish line at 80km/h!

Amazing climb up the road on the northern route? Orchids, birds, fruits, butterflies and friendly locals everywhere. Slow going though...crossed the ridge at 3500m and left the Amazon and into Desierto de Sechura.

Had to run in Fr ya's new engine parts, so had an easy day. Taking the northern route to Piura is breathtaking!!! The rice fields make a beautiful backdrop and a serene feeling riding through. Anybody riding a bike, this is a must do bucket list.

Late start from Tarapoto meant we had to drive late into the night, but then we got stuck on slow roads, and 10 police check points delayed us even further. And only 20 min outside of Pedro Ruiz, our engine died. I walked an hour back to a petrol station, only to find out It was all down hill. At 06:00 we got to a mechanic and with no sleep, time to head to Huancabamba.

The roads from Juanjui to Tarapoto were long and dark. The Gobi Desserts steed packed out and we towed them to town. They went straight to bed, while A.P. and I went out and partied with The Prague Adventurists. Partied after hours with Randy, a shady character, but super friendly and King of the town!

The roads turned to crap just before Juanjui, plus the road was closed for two hours. In the hills after, our engine developed a noise and lost power progressively...then cut out completely. Thank God it did as there was no more oil left. Our engine could have exploded!
