On 28 March 2010,The Proctor Lupe Rickshaw Affiliate will pull up
their boots, strap on their driving goggles, and begin a two-week journey across the Indian subcontinent in a motorized, 3-wheeled rickshaw.
Known not for their acceleration, nor for their handling, nor for their
braking, nor for their safety features, rickshaws are the ideal means of
conveyance for those wishing to engage all their senses simultaneously. Beyond all this, you ask, why undertake such a trip? Because we want
to raise money for charitable organizations.

The concept is simple: rickshaw teams from various corners of the globe gather in southern India to commence a race across the subcontinent.
This race is known as the Rickshaw Run. As with a walk-a-thon, we are seeking support for our team--although we will undoubtedly be walking
short distances to the tire repairman, most of the 3000 km journey will
be made on the aforementioned rickshaw. We will be navigating from
the southern coastal city of Kochi to the tiny Himalayan town of Gangtok, thousands of kilometers to the north.

Our boots are spit-shined. Our medical insurance in pending.
Our route is undetermined.

Whether we will make it is yet unknown.
