Day 13 - Jodhpur to Jaisalmer - 287km driven.
It was an absolute scorcher of a drive today. It's approaching 40 degrees and the humidity is so low you can feel every drop of moisture being sucked out of every pore. We're definately in the desert now.
We're here, we're at the town we need to be in, ready to cross the finish line tomorrow. Even if she doesn't start tomorrow morning, we can push her over the finish line if we need to!!

Day 12 - 250km covered. Drove from Udaipur to Jodhpur via the Jain temple at Ranakpur. Seriously beautiful temple, exquisitely carved white marble.
The Rick' ran beautifully as well without a single hiccup... The end is in sight, we might actually do this...
Day 11 - Drove 0km today. Spent the whole day exploring Udaipur.
Beautiful city, as lovely as we remembered.
Rajasthan's moustache game is strong. Amazing moustaches everwhere!! I also get showered with compliments everywhere i go, which makes the months of growing it all worthwhile.
Day 10 - Smashed 409km today, a new personal best. It did require 12 hours of almost non stop driving. We didn't even stop for lunch, instead grabbing 6 rupee samosas to eat in the go.
We made it to Udaipur, which is great as it means we're now in Rajasthan, the same state as the finish line!
So close!
335km traveled today... Not bad considering we left at 9 so we had time to abuse the hotel breakfast...
Just a solid day of driving, only one small hiccup when the Rick cut out, but she started again straight away, so no problems...
Another long day of driving tomorrow as we hope to reach udaipur...
Day 8 - only made it 137km North today, but that's because we stopped in Ellora to see the amazing UNESCO listed caves. They were spectacular! The rick is running perfectly, hopefully it will continue
We're also staying 5 star tonight in a Taj hotel. It's pretty spectacular!
Day 7 - We're halfway there in time and pretty much half way there in distance.
We covered 305km today with 12 hours of driving. The Rick' was glorious today giving us absolutely no problems at all even when the roads turned into a complete mess. We can't feel our butts and our legs now barely work.
We're hoping to continue on to Ellora caves tomorrow, another 6am start.
Remember, we're going through this ordeal all in the name of charity, if you'd like to sponsor us we're raising money for two great causes, details below:

Day 6 - Really tough day today. We covered 217km which was nowhere near what we wanted to.
Carburettor was playing us for a fool, the float pin became clogged up was pourin our petrol all over the road. Then once I fixed that, we ran into the same problems we experienced on the first day... After not going above 30km/h and cutting out a million times It took us most of the day to determine it was the float not allowing enough petrol into the bowl... I think I've fixed it, but I've bought spare just in case
We also lost our front light somewhere, but some dude just fitted us a new one for £2.60.. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!
We made it to Hampi... Beautiful place...
Spent the day exploring the amazing ruins so covered no km today..
We also had the rick serviced, well we think we did. The 'mechanic' sodded off for a few hours and told us he did it, bit who knows. I suppose we'll find out tomorrow when we drive several hundred km more north .. :)
He did fix the front light, but now there's a mess of wires where he spliced it in. We'll see how that goes.
Speedo is still broken. :(
First day wasn't great, but from what I've seen it could have been worse.
Broke down constantly, but the rick' did start again every time. Visited a couple of mechanics but none fixed the problem, instead attempting to fix problems we didn't have, making them worse.
Max speed 30 kmh, anything above that and she dies...
