Made it to Nkob for lunch and Skoura for supper, all on wheelbarrow tyres. Hopefully will find some real wheels tomorrow morning so we can off road and test these puppies’ full potential.
At last some mileage. Drove an hour in the dark without headlights and using head torches. On wheelbarrow tyres.
http://w3w.co/biggest.dither.antacids : 5km in and pop goes the rear tyre. Replaced with a wheelbarrow tyre marked not for highway use. Stuck in Merzouga but at least we have a nice hotel and good company from other Monkey Runners having the same issue. These tyres are just crap.

With the assistance of a none too shabby bottle of italian red my pal Paul and I took the plunge and signed up. We have done rallies before and he is the mechanical one and I am the logistics man. I think we will both have our work cut out on this one!
