Day 2
We left our accommodations after breakfast and topped off on gas. Ending the day at the Dades Gorge. It's been the most scenic and "fun to ride" portion we've done.
Still have to decide on our route for tomorrow.

Lots of pretty rough people today! The "cider punch" last night was really great but it really snuck up on a few folks.
Breakfast began at 09:00, which scheduled group departure at 10:00. It generally went according to plan and fifty or so mini bikes hot the desert at once. Groups and individuals soon begin to split up as everyone makes their own routes and impromptu accommodations. In fact, we are not allowed to share recommendations or plans. Everyone has to make their own way.
Amanda and I did about 150kms today. It was really cold this morning and we didn't a bit of time shivering during our first stop in a village. I made a spot decision to buy a new jacket for an extra layer which really helped. Now settled into my accommodation for the evening to catch up on my posting.

Dec 31st
Fairly easy day today. Woke up in out tent camp to see the very impressive Mojave desert. After breakfast, we did registration and briefing and some basic maintenance training. The afternoon was spent doing a bit of familiarization riding.
Amanda and I rented a UTV and had a blast driving through the dunes and desert.
A bit of group card playing ensued. Apparently I was one of a few on the planet unaware of how to play a game called "Shithead". I am now familiar with that game.
Next came dinner, then the New Year's Eve party commenced a 21:00. Really good fun and an amazing place to be for NYE. Much alcohol was consumed and several people were definitely worse for the wear today, Jan 1st.
