Well were in Kalkota now after simon got told off by the police for trying to run a red light, apparently there are rules here. We did (Clare) a hit and run after running over someone's foot at a toll booth. Crapped our selves when a car full of law enforcement officers took a close interest in us but they passed by. Found a posh hotel and brought it down a peg or two with our oil, dust sweaty clothes and three wheeled wonder, the Porsche and Audi were suitably embarrassed. Off to see some sights tomorrow and get ripped off buying crap we don't want. Been a couple of long hot days and its good to take some time off.@

Got up and set off really early, had a nightmare getting out of chennai we seemed to go round it twice before getting onto the nh5 no sooner had we done this when the first breakdown hit us...oh...second, third. Oh and now the fourth. We're hoping to get to a mechanic tonight to get everything sorted out as we can't have this ca ** some text is missing **

Quite a long one this time worst ever sleep last night all sharing the same room, too hot, no air hurricane sounding fans. set off with good intentions but shortly ran out of fuel ~ left tool kit at hotel. rang hotel thought they were sending a taxi but we were supposed to. paula retrieved the tools by jumping in a tuk tuk, mean while clare and simon entertained the local police, with a photo shoot. helped us fill tank by using a machette to made a makeshift funnel. finally set on our merry little way about 1 0. 30 for a really good run along one of the best roads we have ever soon in india before paula thrashed the ass off the tuk tuk and it died on us, moments later a kind man stopped and pushed us along the way to the next village using
