We almost made it but decided to have another day at the beach. Peaces!
Smooth day of driving to get back on track. Made our way to this surreal coastal town of Surathkal, with desolated beaches, abandoned villas, and a ghost ship at the shore line.
Oh kingfisher, my vile mistress. You did it again. She caused for a somewhat bumpy start of the day today. We decided to skip a hangover brunch at the Maccie D in the Mall of Goa, which made our boy Marius cry for one hour. And that, together with Goan traffic jams, is really not funny. But Dominos made up for most of it, so it all worked out in the end. Ever since, the road was smooth, and we managed to arrive at our favorite Indian beach at Gokarna. Chilling here for a few days now.
Btw, if anyone has heard from Tosca Goldberg, please let us know. We’re a bit worried. #chailifeforever
We went from Kohlapur to Arambol and crossed superb views. Last night we had some beers on the beach and everyone feels like dying now, but today we are off to our favorite spot in India for two days of nothing. The best idea is to get drunk and drive 7 hours over bumpy roads. I thought age and experience made a wiser person, but the three of us are making a lot of old mistakes. I guess a week in a cramped three weeler does something to your bodily temple.....
Day 7: from airplane tot airscape.
Started the day off at this airplane, with some fine Indian baba roads for over 100 km’s, all the way from Daund to Satara.
Made some good progress today, our precious really is a beast. She’s treating us so well. Made it to the surrounding hills of Kolhapur, with the best views we’ve seen so far. What an astonishing place here at The Nisarg resort. Next stop, Goa!
Made it halfway. Almost got raped by an Indian travestite prostitute along the way today. Chillaxing now in Daund while watching the T20 match between India and Sri Lanka, in a hotel which has an airplane in the yard serving as the restaurant. Peace out.
We made it to Ellora only to find out the caves are closed on Tuesday. Lovely. Today went smooth through wicked mountains and a “highway” that stopped existing at random moments. Our Precious did so well.
To summarize yesterday: we met the Indian Black Mamba aka Kobe Bryant, we saw a fort, we had lunch, we dried our laundry in the tuktuk while driving, Jos and Tjebbe ate the wrong paneer, our Precious had an overheated engine ‘cause of the dirt roads, zig zagging cows and going uphill and down. After some loving she brought us to a “hotel” in no mans land where our 2nd floor neighbor couched up his life all morning and we didn’t sleep/shower/had breakfast. We love this schizo country and awesome trip. The people, the nature, the food, the smiles, the random hotels, the endless selfies; epic!
Jos is ready for another day at the office.

Day 3 is a wrap. Drove our precious safe to Ratlam.
