Measuring in at 6ft 6ins, "little" brother Pete is developing a taste for wacky adventures. He is well prepared for the Indian climate after three months spent camping in the Arctic wilderness, and is now studying a PhD in professional slug wrangling. Pete's hoping these skills will set him in good stead for dealing with all the bugs and beasties that India has to throw at him, allowing him to concentrate on the main task in hand - trying to fit his tallness into the cosy cabin of the rickshaw! Otherwise, it may be a long walk from Cochin to Kathmandu!
As a wildlife conservation officer, he’s on a crusade to save Red Squirrels in the North of England. He’s nutty about the critters and hopes that by harnessing even a tiny amount of the anger that wells up inside him when he sees one squashed on the road he’ll be able to power his way through the craziest congestion that India throws at him. Also a dab-hand at flinging his mountain bike down the forest trails of the Scottish Borders, he’s been known to compare them with Indian roads - he’s in for a shock!
