Team Genghis Style

Mark

Mark is still puzzled as to why a Computer Science degree and job as a Software Engineer qualifies him as Chief Mechanic but despite a total lack of mechanic skills appears to be happy to go with it.

Also uncomfortable in the heat Mark is hoping that the vehicle we end up driving will have Air Conditioning to keep us comfortable and plans to try and sneak a satnav past Andrew to make sure we stay on track. Mark is renowned for having zero imagination, if asked to picture a cat he will be incapable of imagining anything more than a blob, perhaps with legs; this had made him particularly useful during the ideas phase of the project.
Mark is also the teams language expert having achieved a grade C at GCSE in both French and German, a feat unmatched by any of his fellow adventurers.

Greg

Andrew

Since graduating from Lancaster University with a Biological Sciences degree Andrew has seen very little of the world and is keen to see as much of it as he can.

Having left the United Kingdom only once in 24 years to visit France on a trip to Eurodisney (age 5) Andrew is feeling surprisingly prepared for this little adventure and is still trying to persuade the team that a map, never mind a GPS should be considered cheating.
Feeling uncomfortably hot in a British summer Andrews main concerns are dying of heat in the desert, running out of fuel in Uzbekistan and Marks music collection.

Amy

She doesn't know this yet but being the oldest by a massive 4 days and the only girl in the team means Amy is officially in charge. Her desire to explore the world and main motivation for joining the rally appears to be boredom and with no other current prospects to distract her she thought: ‘meh, I may as well.’

Having Graduated Lancaster University with an English Literature with Creative Writing degree Amy will be writing poems and short stories to keep us entertained although will almost certainly refuse this additional responsibility (what with being leader and all).
Amy’s English skills and mastery of Charades will hopefully come in handy when trying to communicate cross language with border guards and shop assistants hopefully granting us safe passage and preventing starvation.
